Cerulean Conservation offers quality conservation treatment to paintings and frames. Located in the city of Cleveland, we service those in Cuyahoga County as well as surrounding counties.

 

Our Mission

As conservators, we are ethically bound to the preservation of cultural heritage. We aim to approach a work of art technically, considering the work's history, stability, and aesthetic, weighing if either of those parameters will be compromised by the treatment of the piece.  

What We offer

  • The ability to remove or reduce any surface grime or discolored varnish

  • Structural issues with the canvas, stretcher, or panel including lining or relining

  • Treatment and inpainting of losses or disfigurements of the ground or paint layer

  • Varnishing of the surface with the appropriate resin

  • Treatment of frames, including restructuring, inpainting, molding, and gilding.
